PREGNANCY & BABY SHOOTS
Pregnancy shoots capture a very special time during the excitement leading up to your baby's birth and these beautiful photos often take pride of place displayed in a baby's nursery. The recommended time for your pregnancy shoot is between 33 – 39 weeks as your bump will be lovely and full at this stage.
I invest my time with you by only doing one shoot a day so we can take as much time as we need to. We can take breaks to work around your baby's sleep and feed routines and make these naps a part of the shoot. I take advantage of the daylight available to keep the look of the photos as soft & natural as possible. Having your shoot in the comfort and privacy of your own home means you can be flexible with settings and clothing changes. Babies (and new mums!) are naturally most relaxed and comfortable at home rather than in an alien setting with flash photography.
As a female photographer I feel I'm able to work intuitively & sensitively to the needs of my subject.
As a new mum you can be in the photos as little or as much as you want to be while keeping your baby as the main focus. I recommend wearing plain, dark long sleeved tops as the best choice to contrast against your baby. Remember to keep your home lovely & warm for those classic shots of them in their nappy or birthday suit!
YOUR BABY PHOTOS
When I've finished editing your best photos from each shoot you will be able to look at your private online gallery and share the gallery password with your family & friends to view at your leisure. After your fourth shoot we can discuss ideas of how best to display all of your new baby photos together as a collection of beautiful framed prints, high quality canvases or perhaps a bespoke coffee table photobook... The choice is yours.
