Photography is sometimes described as the art of painting with light. There are artists such as painters, a sculptor, an actress & musicians in my family & I’ve been drawing & painting for as far back as I can remember. I have also been an enthusiastic photographer since my parents bought me my first camera at 8 years old. My friends even nicknamed me “Camera Kate” as I went everywhere with my beloved camera! During my school & university careers my interest continued to grow as I enjoyed experimenting with black & white photography spending fascinating days developing prints in the darkroom & always finding ways to include it into my fine art degree work.

After graduating & then completing an animation course I began an exciting 14 year career in London as a 3D computer animator working on a diverse range of projects including films, commercials, educational & music videos. After completing a photography course at the London College of Communication in 2007 I was ready for a career change so my focus turned full time to my lifelong love of photography.

LIGHTS, CAMERA… ACTION!

Over the years I have photographed people at their home or favourite location taking natural relaxed black & white portraits of babies, children & families. I now specialise in the fields of portrait & company product photography. I have completed both studio & location photography for a variety of companies seeking to improve their image in an era when professional quality imagery is such a crucially important element of any business wanting to succeed. As I’m based near London in Redhill close to the borders of 3 counties I mainly work in Surrey, Kent, Sussex & London.

I get so excited & love seeing the results of every shoot that I do & I hope my passion is reflected in the photos that I produce. I’m looking forward to the future & the variety of new experiences ahead of me as I continue painting with light.
